Public classes on the topic of Sustainable Energy Consumption were held in three high schools in Zrenjanin and were organized by the Regional Center for Socio-Economic Development - Banat and the City of Zrenjanin.
On the first day, public classes were held at the Zrenjanin Gymnasium, where all present were greeted by the Mayor of Zrenjanin, Simo Salapura, together with his deputy, Sasa Santovac, and the director of RCR Banat, Irena Zivkovic.
On the second day, public classes were held at the Secondary School of Economics and Trade "Jovan Trajković". The third day was dedicated to the Technical School in Zrenjanin.
Also, in all three schools, instruments were presented that would measure energy consumption, ie movements, ambient lighting, temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, volatile organic compounds, atmospheric pressure, electricity and heat consumption, while all students were given modest gifts in accordance with the theme of the project and the public classes held.
In addition to raising awareness of young people about smart and sustainable energy consumption, the project involves a number of important activities for the city of Zrenjanin, which will receive the first "smart building", namely Regional Center for Energy Efficiency, a Master plan for sustainable energy for the Central Banat district, which opens the door for new projects in the future, as part of pilot actions.
